JOLLY LEARNING: Stage 2 – JOLLY GRAMMAR

One day workshop

Presenter: Victoria Carlton

Director of Victoria Carlton Programs

Including notes and lunch

Jolly Grammar is a GRAMMAR WITHOUT GROANS, multisensory literacy program that teaches:

    • Grammar
    • Punctuation
    • Phonics
    • Spelling

This is the second stage of Jolly Learning and covers the Jolly Grammar Handbooks. The program applies to children from 7-12 years (and beyond for children with learning difficulties.) The children learn a unique combination of movements and colours to help them learn the basic elements of grammar. This means they learn the “nuts and bolts” of writing easily and naturally. They learn how to incorporate this knowledge into their oral language and writing.

JOLLY GRAMMAR fits within the new national curriculum guidelines and will promote much higher literacy standards for all your students.

By attendance at this thought-provoking and practical seminar you will learn:

  • Why this approach is so effective and multisensory methods to introduce spelling and grammar concepts.
  • Which grammatical structures to introduce and a suggested order.
  • Practical, structured strategies to improve spelling skills, grammar and therefore oral and written expression.
  • Ways to incorporate this teaching into your writing lessons.

Schools may also enquire about rates for WHOLE SCHOOL workshops.
