Sounds Abound is a teacher resourse book that is packed with information to help teachers navigate the importance and progression of teaching phonics. It also provides photocoipiable material to teach all of the important sounds.
It provides assistance for teachers who want to know more about activities to develop phonalogical awareness and ways to evaluate children’s understanding of phonics. The sounds covered are aligned with the same progression as Jolly Phonics and a photocpiable revision activity sheet is provided for each sound.Teachers are also provided with extra photocpiable activity sheets to revise Tricky Words and alphabetical order.
The blackline master sheets also help children to correctly form the targetted letters. These books are particularly helpful for tyeachers of children from 5 to 7 years and for teachers of older children who have not fully grasped the concepts associated with phonics.
